BUILDING PERMIT

1) What requires a building permit?

Building permits are required for the following:

  • New residential buildings

  • New commercial buildings

  • Additions

  • Banners

  • Commercial miscellaneous

  • Demolition of a building

  • Fences

  • Foundation work

  • Gas and Electric permits - issued if the utilities have been off for more than six months

  • POD storage

  • Pools

  • Renovations

  • Rental Property

  • Roofs

  • Site Grades

2) Fill out an Architectural Review Comittee (ARC) request at our HLNM website.

4) Complete the City of Madison Building Permit Form and submit completed form to the City of Madison office:

HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT

1) Please see the City of Madison web page that list limitations on Home Occupations/Businesses. On this page is a form you must fill out and send to the City of Madison.

2) Email this form to oak.hollow.hoa.madison@gmail.com and include the following information:


  • street address and lot number (lot numbers can be found here at Madison County website)

  • name of business

  • type of business

  • legal business name

  • business functions that will be performed at residence

  • summary of any deliveries/shipments

  • customer activity/traffic at residence

3) The Oak Hollow HOA will send an approval letter to the City of Madison once we receive this information and there are no concerns.
